The Arizona Origami Society is having a meeting this Saturday. I got this email today:
It's usually on the second floor of the Lath House, in the Rosson House "backyard".The AZ Origami Society will meet November 15, 2008 from 1 PM to 4 PM in
our usual spot at Heritage Square aka Heritage and Science Park, 7th
Street and Monroe, Downtown Phoenix.
Everyone is welcome except Candra, who has been kicked off our Yahoo
Group.
Bring paper to fold and a buck to chip in for club expenses. If you
are a child you must bring an adult.
Feel like teaching? anyone can have a chance, except of course, Candra.
We love it if you bring diagrams. We also like show and tell.
Sorry about the short notice, but this was the Saturday we could get
the space, and we didn't want the Thanksgiving weekend.
thats cool. it would be fun to make a website too ill have to see about going . are you gonna go?

We fold at all levels, but we teach mostly simple to intermediate.
Of course, being December this meeting will probably have a Christmas theme. I plan to teach Hideo Komatsu"s Santa Claus.

Nope, not if you don't want to.

Hope you can make it.The Arizona Origami Society will meet on Saturday, December 13, 2008,
from 1 PM to 4 PM in our usual spot on the second floor of the lath
house at Heritage and Science Park, 7th ST and Monroe, downtown Phoenix.
As discussed at our last meeting, we will try for a holiday theme, so
maybe you have a favorite ornament or other cuteness you would like to
teach. Diagrams will make you popular.
Children must bring an adult, otherwise, our meeting is open to all.
Bring your near and dear.
Bring some paper to fold and a dollar to chip in for club expenses.
A jolly time will be had by all.
And another one:
Display your awesome work!
We will have an exhibit at the Matsuri (festival) on February 21 and 22.
Curators of the display are Linda Smith and Kate Kendig. We will need
to have the models brought to the AZ Orig Soc meeting in February, or
you may contact us for other arrangements. Be sure to include
information with your pieces, especially who created the model, and
who folded it, the name of the model, and any other pertinent details,
such as material, size, etc.
We will also need volunteer monitors for the exhibit. This is a fun
thing to do for a couple of hours, answering questions and welcoming
people to our beloved artform. It will be in the south conference room
on the second floor of the lath house. We have table space, not
display cases, so if you require display cases you will have to provide
them yourselves. The room will be locked when we are not present so
the security is not bad.
Direct selling is not a part of our plan, however, we don't mind if you
provide prices and contact information so that sales can be arranged
for at another time.
Thanks for your enthusiastic involvement!
We can SO do this!
cool!

The next meeting of the Arizona Origami
Society will be January 17, from 1 PM to 4 PM in our usual habitat, the
upstairs conference rooms of the Lath House at Heritage and Science
Park, 7th Street and Monroe, in downtown Phoenix.
Everyone is welcome and we fold at all levels. If you are a child, you
must bring an adult. The rest of us can bring whoever we want. It is
customary to chip in a dollar at each meeting for club expenses. It is
customary to bring paper to fold. It is also customary to have a very
good time. Teaching is an opportunity open to all, and I can't imagine
a better place to try your hand at teaching. Everyone is so
supportive! If you have diagrams to share, so much the better.
