Re: how long have you done origami
I've been folding probably about 8 or 9 years now, I think. It has been a fun adventure, and I hope to continue for the foreseeable future.
My particular path went something like this:
First, my mom got a Klutz origami book to help entertain my younger cousins. Then, because I seemed to enjoy myself, she got me an origami-a-day calendar, which got me hooked. But it wasn't until I decided I wanted to get good enough to make a nice Kawasaki rose that things really spiraled out of control.
Now I can give a decent stab at some of the more complex models, and do a pretty good job with simple and intermediate ones. I wrapped up my first full model design a few days ago (full disclosure: I'm pretty sure the base I ended up with is the same or similar to the first steps of Verdi's vase as well as certain tessellations, and of course, the crane is not mine
). So I guess here begins the next leg of the journey for me.

Since first grade (i'm now in sixth grade) in Japanese class. I made stuff like dog and cat faces. Now i can make stuff like kamiya's ancient dragon.

Re: how long have you done origami
About three years. I still distinctly remember the first model I ever folded, the star basket, in 5th grade art class, and a Sonobe cube soon after that. Now I'm working on the final fold of my newest design, a Cyclommatus imperator, while I take a break from the chimera I'm working on.
So I guess you could say I've improved a bit.

Re: how long have you done origami
I began in 1999 with a nice series of books with simple diagrams, three years later I discovered the internet and started trying with more complex diagrams, then crease patterns. I know I wont stop until my hands become useless...
