So we've been to the zoo last weekend, and we saw those nice animals called Katta or Ring-tailed lemur. And since they were so cute, I wanted to fold one of them
Here's the result from 15cm x 15cm Japanese foil:

As you can see on the pictures in Wikipedia the most prominent feature of these animals is the striped tail (hence the name) so I needed to include this in my model. I adapted the way that the rings on the tail are created in the Golden ringed dragonfly by Fumiaki Kawahata (I posted a picture of that earlier in this topic). The rest of the model came quite easily with box-pleating (rotated by 45 degrees), only problem is that the hind-legs turned out quite bulky. Nevertheless I'm quite happy with this model

What´s so special about it? A long time ago, I folded the same model from 69mm paper and haven´t had the feeling that it was too small for it. With a thinner paper than the plain kami that I used, you can surely fold it from half of the size too. Since I didn´t have a camera at this time I only scanned it:Alexandre wrote:I stayed 1 minute stuck on the wasp picture ...

Flower with leaves by myself from 13cm x 13cm Kami

I came up with this model while trying to find an easier folding sequence for diagramming my Lotus flower. The base I use for the Lotus flower (as well as for this new model) is very universal. You get four bigger outer flaps and four smaller inner flaps and the possibilities for colour-changes and final shaping are endless.
You can also turn the same base easily into a crane-like bird sitting on ... hmmm... well, sitting on something:
(credits for this variation go to Anna for pointing out this possibility, thx
)

Oh btw, I've found the easier folding sequence, so diagrams are not impossible any longer (although still a lot of work before they'll be finished)
