Excellent mantis. When I folded Lang's mantis in Insects II, it ended up with not much of a neck.
Thank you to those who complimented the dragon.
You'll notice I added the CP to the original post and on my Flickr gallery. It's pretty straightforward, just box pleating.

I like the dragon! is it divided into thirds vertically?
Matt
If it's just mountain and valley folds, how hard could it be?

Correct, and you don't need to be microscopically accurate, just make the parts approximately equal.tryingtofoldsumthing wrote:I like the dragon! is it divided into thirds vertically?

Wow!! I love that rooster Victoria! What paper did you use on the first one?

Re: What have you folded lately?
first one looks like gold japanese foil, painted on one side
second one looks like gold/white washi paper- not sure which type though, could also be vog paper

I don't know many types of paper. I don't use much of a variety. I love the silverback, it looks quite easy. Is it?

Thank you Harpseal, it is relatively easy with ~ 40 steps. It is all fully 22.5 so reference finding is easy.

Re: What have you folded lately?
First off; very nice rooster Victoria! BTW I'm still looking forward to see some diagrams of yor amazing cat!
Now for own stuff.
I made some tissue foil earlier this week, now I folded three of my own models. All tree use the same base. I found that using tissue foil made the models easier to shape, but the results look kinda crumbled.
Bear

Rhinoceros

Wolf

And I made the fox by Roman Diaz.

More pictures can be found in my gallery, or on my flickr.
