I don't have either book, but based on the CPs, about half of Sirgo's insects use one of two bases.

They are good, but not that difficult.

I'm going to stick with Kamiya's and Lang's diagrams and CP's... too much complication. some of sirgo's are nice, but my spanish is terrible, so i wouldn't buy his book.

Two of his books have actually been translated to English: "Origami Bugs and Beasts" and "Origami Menagerie: 21 Challenging Models" both from Dover Publications

btw: I prefer origami menagerie ;) The boxpleated models at the end of the book are amazing!
