It'll be well enough publicitised when it comes out- if it was out today, we'd hear about it.

same as Kamiya's new book. Its obvious that Kamiya, Chan, and Shuki Kato are working on books, because they have all not folded much new stuff in a long time. I also think a lot of the Vietnamese artists are working on consecutive books or maybe another joint book.

Also, on his site, Robert Lang talks about Brian Chan and Satoshi Kamiya as if they know each other. I'm not sure about Shuki Kato.

They do know each other, haha. you haven't seen the photos of them together before? they are like best friends or something.

and Shuki is making a book, I'm sure of that, just don't know when it is getting released... I'm hoping sometime in the next year, but you can't rush someone to diagram something. especially alongside school and a job.

I haven't seen photos of them together, but Dr Lang talks about them in a friendly way, probably (almost definitely) on first name terms.
This has got a bit gossippy!

Generally there are good friendships between origami folk! See here for pics of a few of your "heroes", for example.

Incidentally, I'm amused by the amount of unfounded assertions and speculation in this thread...

I know what you mean. This thread has has ventured far enough into the realms of tabloid-style gossip, so i'll bring it back:
Is Brian Chan's book out yet? :p

What?
Oh well.
I think brian should bring out two books- one for his stuff including fan art and one for the insects (which is far bigger) or at least split his book into those chapters....
