THIS ARE THE LISTS FROM THE JUDGES

Latter on today I will announce the winners and finalists!

ANGEL ECIJA

Well, the time has come and I see the creator's joy and hope in all of them and that's why they all deserve my respect. But since I must make my decision, I'll tell you which are my favorite, even if I'll surely have my mistakes. I am reassured by the fact that there are more judges to correct me. I assume that they were all made without cutting or pasting. I find it difficult to weigh the utility along with the design and the astonishment factor.

The astonishment factor and the design is easier to see at first glance. But I found out that it's harder to judge their utility, since their duration can be short due to the paper.

This is the order I decided in order of preference, without being quite sure:

1. "Condiment Shakers" by dargelirli: 5 points
It's nothing more than a box with an acceptable design, but I was surprised with the ingenuity in this new use. And, of what I can see from the video, it looks like it works well and it can last.

2. "Dustpan" by ttsan: 4 points
It has a nice design and looks easy to fold. I think, it accomplishes its task well, although not for long.

3. "Sleeve for CD / DVD & Liner Notes" by thebigbluevan: 3 points
I have a liking for the pocket for liner notes. Even though there are diagrams for other CD sleeves, the detail of the second pocket will probably make people prefer this one over the rest, I, particularly, fold them but it's always a hastle to have to write everything down on the sleeve.

4. "Garden Labels" by argil: 2 points
It can accomplish well it's task an I was surprised by it.

5. "Citygami" by Julien Gritte: 1 point
Although all of its models look great, I prefer the whole set.

DIDIER BOURSIN

I prefer more simple subjects. When it's too complex, you can't explain the step by step folding process very quickly. I don't choose projects with metal sheets.

1. "Sleeve for CD / DVD & Liner Notes" by thebigbluevan: 5 points
It's a folding that answers simply to the subject in a few folds.

2. "Condiment Shakers" by dargelirli: 4 points
These boxes are a very good idea for spices :)

3. "Bracelet" by Ray95: 3 points
For sustainable development, it's a good project enabling to recycle the paper wastes.

4. "Phone & MP3 Stand" by vincent-origami: 2 points
Nowadays, it can be usefull for mobile phone and mp3 player.

5. "Martie's box" by ebesan2000: 1 point
This box is very useful, simple and elegant.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

LARRY HART

1. "Voodoo Doll" by Sunburst: 5 points
This seems to have the most uses! It also made me laugh and I think not much origami usually does that.

2. "Sleeve for CD/DVD & Liner Notes" by thebigbluevan: 4 points
Very useful it means you don't have to go out and buy a sleeve when you do a cd for a friend – I have seen others but not as pleasing in the design, it look quite easy to make.

3. "Mobil Phone Stand" by snowblue: 3 points
This is something I would make and use quite often

4. "Don Quixote Bookmark" by leidygra: 2 points
I really enjoyed the way this book mark can double as a money clip.

5. "Glovebox" by -SEBL-: 1 point
Showcases the true versatility of an origami object.

Recently dargelirli received his prize from the Origami Shop for his winning condiment shakers! Congratulations dargerlirli! The photos at the end are of his model and his prize: 50 Hours of Origami by the Vietnam Origami Group and printed by the Origami Shop.

thebigbluevan was the other winner, but I've been unable to reach him to get his info and ask Didier Boursin to send him his prize. I believe the O-list can help me with that; let's hope so.

Now this is important! Like I mentioned, I wanna try to make a book of some of the models from the challenge. For that I will have to ask for the help of its participants, but first I need to know which models should be in the book. That's were you come in :).

Please (everyone) tell me which models do you consider that should be in the book. Like I said it's important :).

I left a VERY easy poll-type question here: http://neorigami.com/neo/index.php/en/a ... -challenge

I know some of you have already answered it. I ask the rest of you to please take just one minute of your time to answer this simple question. Every answer is totally anonymous. The more people answering the better!

Bear in mind the number of creators that will potentially be working with models for the book. My best option is to use email in order to send the same message to all of you at the same time. If you're a minor, I can talk to your parents first to ask for their permission, ok?
