Wow! That is really good for a test fold! Use much larger paper for the final and it'll be perfect! You've got just the right blue there as well!

It's funny--I just used the blue in those kami packs you see in stores. xP
Re: Super Mario/Nintendo Origami
I know there are Sonic games for the Nintendo (Sonic Chronicles was/is a great game for the DS), but he will always be a Sega character. Nintendo, to me, means Mario (and the rest), Link (and the rest), Kirby, DK, the StarFox team, Professor Layton, etc. I guess Solid Snake counts, too, after being in Super Smash Bros. And all the Pokemon, but I was never a huge fan of that.
Anyway. That's me.
I've always liked this Whomp by gachepapier.

Re: Super Mario/Nintendo Origami
Because of the Sonic games for Nintendo, I figured I'd just put it here instead of making a whole 'nother topic for Sega models. Correct me if I'm wrong; I didn't search too much for a Sega topic because I figured this would suffice.
Re: Super Mario/Nintendo Origami
Really, this is more of a classic younger age/family comupter games character topic, or that's how i see it. Anyway, a sega topic would basically only have sonic +accompanying characters in it as sonic is the only well-known sega character (as far as i know).

Re: Super Mario/Nintendo Origami
I'm not suggesting that there's a different thread for every video game company, past and present. I was just saying.

I agree with you there.Harpseal wrote:Really, this is more of a classic younger age/family comupter games character topic
I can't think of any others.Harpseal wrote:Anyway, a sega topic would basically only have sonic +accompanying characters in it as sonic is the only well-known sega character (as far as i know).

But Sonic is in Smash Bros too!Falcifer wrote:I know there are Sonic games for the Nintendo (Sonic Chronicles was/is a great game for the DS), but he will always be a Sega character. I don't remember that. I guess you can safely ignore my original comment, then. Though, I still associate him heavily with Sega. He's certainly not someone I would call a Nintendo character.spiritofcat wrote:But Sonic is in Smash Bros too!
The early MGS games were at least on the Nintendo consoles. Although, I tend to think of them as PlayStation games... despite playing a Game Boy Color version at some point.
Anyway. I'm not fussed about which characters are mentioned in this thread. Just that the title gave the impression that it was trademark Nintendo characters that were the topic.

Also, getting things back on topic...
I did diagram an origami triforce a while ago. And OrigamiNate has a few Nintendo-related models: http://www.flickr.com/photos/14661555@N04/
There's a Link model which has a crease pattern.
Juston has a different version here.

Yeah, Snake I see as a Hideo Kojima character, or a Konami character.Falcifer wrote:I don't remember that. I guess you can safely ignore my original comment, then. Sonic is definitely a Sega character in my view too.
For me it's all about what company made the games, not what platform they were released on.
I think I've seen that green Link before. I love the detail of his sword, and the hair is really nice too.Falcifer wrote:Also, getting things back on topic...

Re: Super Mario/Nintendo Origami
i'm designing a kirby model. it's coming pretty well. will post pictures soon.
my website http://www.gabrielorigami.com/
Re: Super Mario/Nintendo Origami
I have fond memories of kirby.....
Kirby has so many different forms. Kirby with a sword looks easy.....
What about kirby eating a cupcake? I seem to recall that kirby goes on and 8 world with 10 levels and a boss each size adventure for a cupcake.
