So, is this model based on a 32 by 448 grid? Cause that is a stinking long piece of paper! How big would you guys say is best to fold this out of?

What it the grid?
What is the ratio of the paper?
What is the reccomended size for the paper?
Where can i find the cp?

On the crease pattern, A id the head, D is the ninja, I is the sword and B and C are the dragon's feet, but my question is what you do with the space in between. Is it that bit on the 4th page with how to do the dragon's back? is the large 'empty' chunk all dragonback, or is it something else?

I've yet to fold the model myself, but it seems to me that it is just the paralell creases running down the paper to make a long line, then shaping it as shown on page 4

Hey all,
Two things.
First a question. Does anyone have a good method for locking the dragons back together? To keep the body thin you have to hide a bunch of paper inside. I am currently planning on hiding a 3 units behind each one I show, and folding the hidden layers in half twice to lock them together. This seems to work fine. When I try to form the tube of the dragons body, I haven't found a way to lock it together from the outside (or with the limited access to the inside that will be available). Any advice would be appreciated before I risk the 2.5m long piece of tissue foil I just made

Second its been a while since posts in this topic but if there are still people around with questions I should be able to give decent advice on collapsing the CP for the dragons head and more importantly the damn ninja.

The ninja is the hardest bit-great, thanks! I was worrying about the dragon! Is the ninja anything like his swordsman?

Have not folded his swordsman but looking at the CP and result there seems to be little or no relationship between the two.

No there are no similarities. I honestly don't know why anyone would think that. Anyway, I tested folded the dragon head. I couldn't find a good picture of the head so I just made up my own shaping.

Yes, i was thinking about the shaping mainly, and the bit in the swordsman where you open out the pleats and fold some pleats going in a different direction within the opened out space to create a new flap.
Basically, i was wondering if it were possible to collapse the most basic pleats in the ninja first, before opening it out a bit to collapse the rest, like in the swordsman, instead of doing them all at roughly the same time. You probably don't understand a word of this. Sorry.

Yes that is how you should go about collapsing most crease patterns, especially box pleated ones. I am going to make photo diagrams for the dragon head soon, and possibly the ninja.
