Probably not Turning an eagle into a crocodile is one thing, but I don't think a slight modification can be called your design.malifold wrote:I found a nice elephant design diagrammed on the back of a pack of paper. I have slightly modified it to have white tusks and hind legs that look like something
Does that count?

Sent the Darwin's Beetle CP last night. Judging fron what you guys have mentioned, it looks like it's going to be a great book.

Your right, this book is going to be awesome. I think Dai Lu (for those who don't know, that is love20075 on flickr) is submitting some of his wonderful diagrams to the book. I had the pleasure to try the diagrams to his hairtail fish, they were really good, so i can't wait to do whatever he is submitting to the book.

Re: Christmas Origamibook 2012
It's a Christmas Book, I'd better submit some actual diagrams... So yeah, I sent something, not one of my harder models though.
I'm excited about Dai Lu's model(s) Phillip, his origami have some of the most extreme CPs on all of flickr.

ah, awesome Shuki.
lets just hope more quality models get submitted. I'm hoping for quality over quantity, unlike last years...
Dai Lu didn't tell me which model he was submitting, but he seemed rather interested. I don't care which he submits, all his models are awesome!

I may submit diagrams for my snail (unpublished). But if I'm short on time, probably a crease pattern
Re: Christmas Origamibook 2012

I'll be submitting something, just don't know which to choose yet. It won't be ridiculous, but it also won't be easy; I think we all would like to see something like that eh?

eurypterus? Does it have all the detail, and how many steps is it? I'm excited for this book!
Re: Christmas Origamibook 2012
Hello there!
My eurypterus have a little more than 60 steps, the only thing I don't like in it is that the points in the head come from the middle, not from the sides, but I may fix that in some next version...

I have to fold it again sometime, I lost the last one I folded! :/

Re: Christmas Origamibook 2012
I just dowloaded inkscape and watched some tutorials. Now I have 1 month to diagram one of my models. Maybe I'll start with one of my earlier models, because they will require less steps. Hope to have something finished in time!

Got an email from Anna this morning, and the model went through. So you guys will not only have the CP for my Darwin beetle, but you'll also know my real name! >;D
