You can make a spring into action with a 1:2 rectangle, And some people like the action of it better?

I didn't know this. Do you by any chance know a link to a video showing this?

How is it better, may I ask?

I have made a 12 section one as opposed to a 6 section one, and I have experimented with different rectangle divisions.

I've also experimented with larger rectangles to obtain more sections, but always keeping the width height relationship the same.

I guess that when the OP says better means a better spring effect.

also divide it into the same sections, 12ths and 6ths. it saves the pain of having to measure it!!!
