I would like to introduce our new model. I folded it with my friend from tearoom. We are not a purists so we used two pieces of paper and additional drawing. But our model is really great.
Name: Bat
Creators: me (head as a modified gryphon by Perry Bailey), my friend from tearoom (main idea and body)
Folders: me and my friend
Another attempt at the Crab by Artur Biernacki from 15cm x 15cm Japanese foil
This is definitely my favourite model at the moment. It's a quick fold as well (about 15 minutes) so it's perfect for folding on the way to work (and leaving crabs in the subway, hehe). The crease pattern is really easy to remember and to fold, so give it a try

Cool
I have just folded the base. At the moment I am trying to shape it to my taste. It does have a nice, straightforward folding sequence.
Daydreamer: How did you fold the eyes? If I folded the base right, there is one point that needs to be split into two points, one for each eye. How did you do that?

You have to open sink (as open as possible that is) the tip, and then do something similar to two Elias stretches. You will get the two eyes and also a wider third flap which you can just fold back.
