now what you should do with that rat is tape the red button down after or before you light the lighter then light it and then put the rat on it and finally take a pic
I LOVE FIRE but sadly fire and paper dont mix

Shiva by Robert J. Lang from 15cm x 15cm Japanese foil

Image

It's another of those models that look much better in real than on any pictures. From the pictures I saw of this model I probably would never have folded it, but luckily there was a help request which made me try it :-)

Shiva is a very difficult model. I mean difficult to obtain a good result with it. I haven't yet accomplished a Shiva that has satisfied me completely. The base is a pleasure to fold though. Yours is the best I've seen.

I folded about eighty swans a couple of weeks ago... i was trying to get to 1000, but no such luck :( . Anyway, I've got a nice picture:

Thanks. I think the picture I took wins a lot through the mystical effect produced by the foil background.
With a bit of fiddling it's even possible to make Shiva stand on the one leg. I didn't think that was really possible so I haven't tried it earlier. Here's the proof :-)

No wire, glue, photoshop or other means of stabilising included.

It's a bit sensitive to vibrations though... falling over easily... especially when cats come near it...

During the past 2 months I've (re)folded all the models from Satoshi Kamiya's amazing book. Most of these models are from Japanese foil (same size or smaller than the recommended ones), some from Kami.

You can find close-ups of the models that turned out nicer in some of my previous postings in this topic. I've refolded most of the models for this display because I was not happy with my earlier results, some of the models shown are first folds only.

I still need to work on some of the models... especially the Bahamut is a tough model, my two attempts are both very crumply...

On the whole I'm very amazed how Satoshi Kamiya managed to create diagrams which allow to recreate his designs without bigger problems (at least not in understanding how the steps are supposed to work...)

Jedi Master Yoda - Kawahata Fumiaki

I found the paper at school, it made a 5 foot square & a strip just the right size for my dog.
I used a cigarette for size reference.
Yes, Yoda is a smoker, I started him off soon after birth.
