Shiva by Robert J. Lang from 15cm x 15cm Japanese foil

It's another of those models that look much better in real than on any pictures. From the pictures I saw of this model I probably would never have folded it, but luckily there was a help request which made me try it

So long and keep folding ^_^

Thanks. I think the picture I took wins a lot through the mystical effect produced by the foil background.Brimstone wrote:Shiva (...) Yours is the best I've seen.
With a bit of fiddling it's even possible to make Shiva stand on the one leg. I didn't think that was really possible so I haven't tried it earlier. Here's the proof

No wire, glue, photoshop or other means of stabilising included.
It's a bit sensitive to vibrations though... falling over easily... especially when cats come near it...

So long and keep folding ^_^

During the past 2 months I've (re)folded all the models from Satoshi Kamiya's amazing book. Most of these models are from Japanese foil (same size or smaller than the recommended ones), some from Kami.

You can find close-ups of the models that turned out nicer in some of my previous postings in this topic. I've refolded most of the models for this display because I was not happy with my earlier results, some of the models shown are first folds only.
I still need to work on some of the models... especially the Bahamut is a tough model, my two attempts are both very crumply...
On the whole I'm very amazed how Satoshi Kamiya managed to create diagrams which allow to recreate his designs without bigger problems (at least not in understanding how the steps are supposed to work...)
