Gen Hagiwara - Rabbit

Post by origami_8 »

Hello,

I'm very happy to tell you, that my newest instructional Origami Video is now available at http://youtu.be/DXQ_QCFDdPs

Gen Hagiwara kindly gave me permission to show how to fold his Rabbit. It is one of my most favourite models and I'm so glad that he gave me his permission to share this wonderful model with the world.
If you don't know Gen Hagiwara yet, you might want to visit his Fotostream at http://www.flickr.com/photos/gen_hagiwara/

Nice Greetings

Thanks, Anna! I love rabbits, and this looks like a beautiful one to fold! Thanks for the video, and I'll be sure to fold it soon!

Great tutorial! I just folded this model last week actually. great folding sequence and a fun, easy model!
I would rather fail trying than fail without trying....

Hello Anna,

thank you for the wonderful tutorial. I will try to find the perfect paper for it. You said that you've tried different paper. What do you think is the best paper for the model?

Greetings
Thomas :)

It works with almost any paper, but I'd recommend thin crisp papers. One of the most beautiful renditions I made was with black-gold Deluxe Washi with black for the body. But usual Kami works just as well. Another combination I really liked was with blue VOG-Crumpled paper for the body glued onto black tissue paper for the eyes. Duo-coloured Kraft paper also looked really great. The purple-silver one I show at some points in the video is some kind of stiffer Foilpaper that looks just gorgeous.
