I keep all diagrams in Dropbox and only print when I am traveling or working in a coffeeshop or something where the paper is easier to deal with.

Unfortunately, computers crash, USB drives corrupt or demagnetize, and website data oftentimes mysteriously is deleted or somehow goes extinct . Wayback machine is tricky and fallible.
Not too surprisingly then , I also utilize two largish legal portable file compartments to store hard copies of diagrams that I look forward to someday fold.

One file compartment has approx. 50 folders , each with subject title of the particular type origami model, clearly labeled for ready access .
The other file compartment has bunches of diagrams somewhat casually placed, awaiting my efforts to organize them when time, and especially , inclination allows . It too, is full .
I am considering buying an ipad or nook or some such device for alternative storage and easy utilization.
Seriously doubt that I would ever be in the position of not having a paper backup of the more important diagrams .
Side note : I generally spend almost as much time organizing all the diagrams and mind-numbing assortment of paper, as I do folding .
My sorting technique consists of : " Throw 3 out , add 6 in " .....
May I wish success to all who cope with the mountains & valleys of Life,
with all its peaks & depths, as well as Origami .

Paper tends to get wet, catch fire and mysteriously rip
Just kidding, that sounds like an impressive libary of diagrams. I always have to go through several maps on my pc to find what I was searching for. I always forget in what book I saw a certain diagram. Printing the best seems like an good idea.

Yeah, I'm a lost soul .
I keep the most favored diagrams , printed distinctly on photo coated paper, within clear, plastic sheet protectors.
Of course, the very best and most frequently used diagrams are saved in elaborately labeled 12 inch hard plastic cases, protected on a bookshelf.
Like to know how many different ways I organize & store multitudes of precious paper ?
Don't ask ...
I have a bunch ! ](*,)
( Walking tours of the stacks & aisles are by appointment only ...)
May I wish success to all who cope with the mountains & valleys of Life,

I have a separate computer (given to me by a friend who was throwing it out) that has countless cp's, diagrams, photodiagrams.... it's ridiculous. Well since the computer isn't always in my direct access, recently, I started saving the most favored of all of my PDF's and folders of origami stuff to google drive. It's amazing because as long as you have a gmail or something, you can access those diagrams and whatever else you have from ANYWHERE and from ANY device. It's great! Totally recommend doing that... Since I have my iPod Touch on me all the time, it's great because I can bring that to my table and use that to view my favorite diagrams...
I would rather fail trying than fail without trying....

Between existing on three different physical computers, and in dropbox in the cloud, and on my time machine backups, I don't worry too much about losing my files.

I have other, more important, paper and ink obsessions to contend with when it comes to organizing :)
