Re: what glue should I use?
Use MC for double tissue and white glue diluted with water and a paintroller or a spayadhesive to make tissuefoil. MC will not work on foil.
There are some tutorials on youtube on how to make tissuefoil.

Can I use Wheat Paste to make double tissue? I have a lot of kite papers in my home and I'd really like to use them in something.

@Swapnil: the kite or tissue paper i get is not the same as the one folders use. Its weak and a bit thick, but you could try it! I bet it would work better than Kami, the paper i hate the most.

That's my question too.

Even though it is possible to find out what these abbreviations mean by reading the above conversation, you should refrain from using them. Most people will be too lazy to read the previous conversation just to find out their meaning and will therefore not answer your question.mir numaan wrote:will W.P work for T.F and D.T?
Double Tissue will most likely work with wheat paste, Tissue foil not. I've tried wheat paste several times for other things, but haven't been very happy with the results. Personally I think that Methyl Cellulose is far easier to handle and gives the better results. It also doesn't cost a fortune and a small pack of powder will last for a very long time, as does the finished solution in a closed jam jar.

Re: what glue should I use?
20 ml... Hard to say. It depends how thick the layer of paint will be but it should be enough for a 50 cm square.

it should be as much thick as to hide text written on paper.

Re: what glue should I use?
Are there air bubbles in the glue after or before you apply it? If the bubbles are in the packaged glue you'll just have to let it stay a bit (The bubbles are probably from shaking it.). If the bubbles are on the foil they are probably because you used a brush to apply it. Using a paint roller will solve the problem.

there are bubbles on glue, not on foil
