Then here are some of my model, all folded using printer paper (and it is notable as details are not neat) and all white-coloured. Please be nice while saying that they are horrible
None of these models come from my own design, they were all created following other's instructions.

Pegasus (Satoshi Kamiya) - without some detail (paper had become too thick)
Fiery Dragon (Kade Chan) - after about six months, it's starting to lose its shape... And it's a pity because it's definitely my favourite creation!
Wasp (Anibal Voyer)
Scorpion (Tadashi Mori) - I made also a scorpion using baking paper, but despite having better-looking legs, it just won't keep its shape!

. In the mean time, why don't you just buy tissue paper in the closest stationery shop and give it a try? I'm sure you'll find some way better papers with time but I think tissue paper is worth trying.
