Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
i have done that im not sure on the part how to form the creases closes to the bit where the tail starte
Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
I have started test folding the Ryuzin head including the neck twist section and a couple of inches of scales. I am using a 55gsm sheet of kraft paper at 46x46cm in size. I should have it finished sometime tomorrow.

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
here is a test fold of the Ryuzin 3.5 head. The neck twist was a partial success but I think I kind of understand how that section collapses. as for the rest of the head, I managed to do better than any of the heads on previous Ryuzin 3.5 attempts. I used a 46x46cm square of 55gsm kraft paper

Ryujin 2.1 instructions?
I want to fold the ryujin 2.1 and I need some basic instructions:
Which paper and paper size
What are the grids needed
Which precreases to fold without grid
Which areas to fold without precreases
Where to start collapsing
Any other help will be highly appreciated...
Sorry about my English...

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
Do you guys have a crease pattern for the Ryujin 3.5 head? I already found one but it has no scales near the neck...
Also, does this head crease pattern contain the neck twist?

Does someone have here the individual crease patterns for the ryujin 3.5? head, tail legs etc...
I heard a guy named Mr origami that gives out lessons for thr ryujin, but that was years ago, I'm not sure if he will still give the lessons though

Re: Ryujin 2.1 instructions?
You need to use the largest paper you have, probably around 2 meters or less. It has to be very thin too, try using kraft paper, I heard its the best option possible. I believe the Ryujin 2.1 needs a 88x88 grid, but I may be wrong though. I think its best to fold the grid completeley, Im pretty sure it will not ruin the other crease.idooi wrote:I want to fold the ryujin 2.1 and I need some basic instructions:

Re: Satoshi Kamiya - Ryu Zin (CP)
Actually, Ryujin 2.1 is based on a 80x80 grid. It is the best that you fold this grid first. Do not precrease before folding the grid. Then you can make the precreases for the head and the legs. Don't try to precrease the scales. I think you should start folding them first. İf you don't know how to fold them, here is a video teaching how (I am not the owner)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sftiSKQbiw0
If I remember it correctly, the paper this guy uses in that video includes the first 12x12 grid of the lower right corner of the cp. And rest of the scales are made exactly in the same way. Then you can make the legs and the head.
I am not actually sure what paper to use but I think 2mx2m is too big. I started folding one with 80cmx80 cm kraft paper and the scales are a little bit small but it is ok. 1mx1m would turn out good i guess
p.s.: you can find more videos about Ryujin 2.1 in that guy's youtube channel (OrigamiSage)
Hope that helps and the best of luck!

Pleat Box is wrong (No offense, man). It's actually 80x80 grid.idooi wrote:I want to fold the ryujin 2.1 and I need some basic instructions:

Oh whoops sorry
Anyways, I saw the cp for the tail, and I'm just wondering why there is a blank space in the middle?
