Nice choice of paper on the splash!

The Sleipnir you posted a few days ago is also gorgeous.

Dragón de Fuego by Fernando Gilgado Gómez from 25cm x 25cm Japanese foil.

A really nice model which is worth folding just for the enjoyable folding sequence. And you have a lot of shaping possibilities which go way beyond the diagrams. For example, I opened out the belly for this model to give it a more 3-dimensional structure.
So long and keep folding ^_^

Hey! I just thought of folding trees in a way like that baobab today! It's so annoying when you come up with ideas that you think are good but other people have already thought of and implemented.

Don't let that stop you from trying to come up with something better.

Hi thedeadsmellbad,

I like what you've done with the Dragon, especially the head - it looks a lot better than the basic original version. Can you explain your modifications?

Aladino by Fernando Gilgado Gomez from 15cm x 15cm Japanese foil

Several models by Romaz Diaz
Image

Peace Dove from 20x20 copy paper. I like the "automatic" 3-dimensionality of this model.

Rooster from 15x15 and 7x7 Kami plus a "Hatching Rooster" as combination between the Rooster and the Hatching Penguin model from 7x7 Kami.

Puppy from 15x15 Kami, rounded off a lot compared to the diagrammed version, because I felt this model needed to be rounder and smoother.
So long and keep folding ^_^

Another very cute model from Roman Diaz's new book.
I was lucky to have suitable colours at hand :-)

Horse by Roman Diaz from 15cm x 15cm Kami.

Here seen riding the sparrow for size comparison.
The sparrow actually turned out larger than life.

Ankylosaurus by Fernando Gilgado Gómez from 15cm x 15cm Japanese foil

This is the one dinosaur I've always wanted to fold, and the version by Fernando Gilgado is definitely the easiest I've found. That is, easy compared to the versions by Fumiaki Kawahata and Ronald Koh, it still has its share of closed sinks, etc.
So long and keep folding ^_^

Fernando Gilgado Gómez "Pterodactyl" from "Origami Dinosaurs 1" folded from 18cm Lokta:

The green tree thingy underneath is a dobsonfly-bolder from an unsuccessful trial of resizing tissue paper with wallpaperglue. It would have an colourchanged trunk if it would be dual-coloured paper.
