ODT#6, round 1: BM-origami-design vs Merlyngami
So, this is the first round of ODT#6 and Merlyngami(me) and BM-origami-design are one of the many pairs who must duel to the death by designing origami.
BM-origami-design, here are your three topics to choose from:
1.Prehistoric life: Pretty self explanatory. Anything that's been dead for a long time.
2.Vehicles: Could be anything from a golf cart to an airplane.
3.Sea life, NOT including fish: Any marine animals that aren't fish, eg crabs, turtles, lobsters...
Choose wisely, and good luck!

Behold!
It is mean!
It is pointy!
It is spiky!
It is huge!
It is the lawnmower we all want!
It is Triceratops Horridus!
Folded from one square sheet of Grimoire foil. This is a foil roller backed brown paper.
B.T.W. I wrote a small blog post to promote the design contest.

I noticed that there aren't many good origami ammonites out there, so i thought it would be an interesting prehistoric animal to try
Ammonite by Merlyn Barrer, on Flickr
Folded from an uncut 45cm square of triple tissue, dyed on one side to get the shell colour(the squid part was just already red).
Should I post the poll now?

Re: ODT#6, round 1: BM-origami-design vs Merlyngami
OK thanks
Do you think I should extend the time till the poll closes? I originally had it for the end of this month but it sounds like this round will be going on longer than that. Also, I'm not sure if changing the time resets the votes, because if that's the case then it should probably be left as is.

The results seem clear so I would just close it.
Congratulations on the win!

Re: ODT#6, round 1: BM-origami-design vs Merlyngami
BM-origami-design, maybe as a suggestion, it would be helpful in the future to put your watermark not over the model itself, but either above or below. Putting the text over the model distracts so much, that it is hard to even see what it is supposed to be. That's when I think that it is actually a superb model, but you know, it doesn't matter if you can't really see it. I guess that this might actually have cost you some points. Just my opinion, but think about it.
