While waiting for the Tanteidan Convention Book 12 which will have diagrams for Brian Chan's One-Square Rose, I've tried myself at the Rose by Cu Kim Ngoc (White Angel).
Folded from CP using 15cm x 15cm Japanese foil:

I was actually surprised how easy the idea behind the rose is and it's quite straight forward to fold it. The main problem is shaping the rose in the end and I was not very successful with it
