If you say so.
I guess it all depends on which part you see as the eyes and how "open" in differentiated from "closed".

But you happy if it makes, closed, they perhaps are. To focus and levitate things it makes it eaiser. Yeesssssss.

I vote for open.

There's a variant of this that I've seen that uses a strip graft along one diagonal - this adds more length to the stick, and you can turn it into a lightsaber.

Do you know where a photo of the finished model is online?

Can't seem to find it, sorry. I'll see if I can recreate it from what I remember.

I made one out of chart paper and he ended up almost a foot tall on my desk!

There is a lot of fudge room in the model to compensate for the imperfect square made from chart paper.

After a long time, I have decided that you are all right... the eyes are open, as according to Kawahata's diagrams, and Kawahata's models... But that doesn't mean that I don't prefer my way! :D
Also, couldn't you just make a lightsaber with the stick? Yoda has a pretty small lightsaber, could probably just be made with a foot-fold

This is a double rabbit ear and spread squash (at least i think so)... Click here to see how to do a rabbit ear

The rest is still hard to explain if you don't understand...

Notice how on the diagrams, there are mountain folds... precrease the mountian folds on the front flap, then the back flap. Then fold the front flap downand do the mountain folds... A rabbit ear on each side should emerge, sort of like a fish base.

Yoda - Fine-tuning

Post by HankSimon »

Jens-Helge Dahmen has some fine-tuning diagrams at:

( A little more fine-tuning, wasn't clear.)
