Hahaha! I only destroy my models if they fail mid folding (ie if they rip during a sink fold etc.) I once burned an origami octapus that went wrong. It was fun to watch the tentacles singe and shrivel.
Mostly though, I will give models away to people, but other than that i just stockpile them in a cardboard box, unless I was making the for the purpose of displaying them. It istrue, origami makes a good gift and is a good way to start a conversation with random people.

Burning's a bit better... but still evil
In Vancouver, I watched a show about fire and the woman doing brought out some paper that dissapeared. You may be wondering what this has to do with fire. Well, it dissapeared because it burned so fast! You just tou it with something hot and it bursts into flame, and dissapears in a pile of ashes. I'd love to have some of that!

At the moment we have five boxes of Origami models that we are trying to sort out. With a bit of luck one box will get to the recycle box, two boxes will become present boxes for people visiting or maybe for the Origami peace tree project or things like these and two boxes will stay for exhibitions, shelves and the like.
