Easy CPs

Post by emberjelly »

Hi everyone,

I am a young folder and have never done a crease pattern before and it looks very hard from what I have seen on the forum :) I was wondering if there were any very simple CPs for me to start with.

Thanks

Jerry

Hey Jerry!
Welcome to the forum! I'm glad to see another australian folder here. Which city do you live in? I live in sydney!
I'm just starting on cps too and had my first success with komatsu's penguin: http://www.origami.gr.jp/~komatsu/gallery/penguin.html
Good luck!
I don't mind if you sleep in class. Only, please do not snore. You are disturbing others who are trying to sleep

This is probably one of the newbest question ever but how do you tell which one's are mountain folds and which one's are valley folds?

Actually, I didn't find Guspath Go's cat very easy; the first time I folded it, I spent about half an hour trying to figure out which flaps went where, and I still don't think I got it right. Good luck on that one!

I think some of Manuel Sirgo's crease-patterns are easy enough:

You can find a lot more crease patterns here, although most of them are relatively complex:
