I have some mulberry tissue to try, but none of the 3 hardware/home improvement stores I have checked with have the methyl cellulose. I'll have to order some, I guess.

Nice job on the rose, the folding is near perfect. About the methyl celulose, you should be able to get it from places that sell wallpaper supplies. If not, the internet is pretty well the last resort.
If you can't fold it, try a bazooka.

better ask for "wallpaper paste"!

Tried that. They all seem to carry the same products. Either the wheat based adhesive, or the starch ether based adhesive. I have a couple more places to try, if they don't have it I'll just order it. Thanks for the suggestions eveyone!
