How fast can you fold a crane?

I timed how fast i could fold a fairly accurate crane with my eyes closed. after several attempts I got 1 minute 10 seconds

Size of the paper matters. The quickest crane can probably be folded from about a 3 inch square. Larger papers require longer creases, which take more time.

Yeah, I've done one-handed, behind-my-back, eyes-closed cranes before. Like having your eyes closed really means a lot when you're doing it behind your back...

I've done it in 55 seconds, fairly accurately. I've also folded one with my feet in about ten minutes. It's hard!

just did it in 20 seconds thanks to my one move preliminary base, though I'm kinda stretching the definition of a 'crane'

Two minutes, fairly neatly.

I have also folded a crane using only my left hand (I am right-handed). That's folding "free" of course, not against a flat surface.

I have practiced forever and have gotten 14.68 seconds to fold one.

It's a different (and supposedly faster) way to fold a crane.
Try it and let me know if it's faster than the 'normal' way.

And I can fold a decent crane (the traditional way, I haven't actually tried this method yet) in about 3 and a half minutes.

The last time I folded a crane was when I folded the thousand.
By the end of the whole experience I got to less than a minute and a half with 7cm paper.

Around fourty hours. I also had to build a cardboard box in which to transport it for a trip from Spokane, Washington to Colorado Springs.

I'm impressed also! I have done 1000 cranes before, but it took me a few months to accumulate a thousand. I don't know how you managed to fold them all in such a short space of time.

I really like the way you arranged them in strings... I couldn't decide what to do with mine and for years they just sat in a box under the bed. Now about half are in glass jars on my shelf, but I don't have room to display them all so there's still 500 in storage

Oh and trying to stay on topic, I think it takes me about 2 mins to fold a crane. You people who can fold it in less than a minute are freaks of nature
