Brimstone, the model I was referring to was obviously shownpreviously in this very thread.

The model was not exactly "obviously" shown previously - as far as I can see, the most recent reference to that frog in this thread is ten pages and six weeks before your question, in a huge thread that's packed with different models (including at least one other frog between Diaz's frog and your question). Brimstone's question was not at all unreasonable. Your retort, however, is. A little respect for your fellow forum members and folders would be appreciated.

Agreed. I've never heard Díaz designed a frog (and I do read his blog)...
It's impossible until someone does it.

Well, I will agree with Brimstone that it is pretty obvious that he was talking about Roman Diaz's frog...I mean come on, when you say "that Roman Diaz Frog" what else can you mean?
BUT-yes I used a big but-it is unacceptable to insult someone about a misunderstanding-especially one so insignificant as that one. Especially if you are insulting them for the wrong reasons-while it was obvious what model you were talking about and it could be implied that you were talking about a previously posted model, it was certainly not clear that that model was previously posted-even more so that it was posted so long ago. And use your grammar! Thespacebaristhebiggestkeyonthekeyboardlearntohitit!

The last thing I folded was Hideo Komatsu's owl. Came out better than my previous attempts!

I love those flower towers! I can't help but think I've seen that model before, but I can't remember where. They remind, in a way, me of J. C. Nolan's "Andrea's Rose" model (on origami.com).

Are there diagrams/patterns available online anywhere? And what are the 8 and 6 point towers folded from? (I assume the 5 point tower is ordinary copy paper -- that's what it looks like to me).

You might have seen the flower towers in several webpages, since they are very popular. If you search for them such as in http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q ... a=N&tab=wi you will find plenty.

When you say it reminds you of Andrea's rose, you are not far off. Andrea's rose is a simplification of Fujimoto's star and the Flower Towers use a very similar folding method.

Tom Hull has some information online about FT at http://www.prospero78.freeserve.co.uk/oriflowers.htm but I was never able to fold them from those CP's. They differ from the official ones published on Tanteidan Convention #8 Book

The 5 pointed star was folded from green copy paper and the other two were folded from a hexagon and an octagon cut from a 70 x 70 cm square of 90 gram manila paper

Brimstone:

Did you fold the flower towers from the CP's in Origami Tanteidan Convention #8?

I like the hedgehog, I tried folding it, but I couldn't get the pleats to work out for some reason, I think my grid may have been off by a little bit, I may try it again with some slightly bigger paper.

Just a random musing, but the long snout on the Hedgehog reminds me of an Echidna, which is basically a big hedgehog that has a long snout and lays eggs. Not trying to insult it or anything, just a random thought of mine.

I've folded a few things recently, I'll get pictures up when I can.
