Nerd Test: Who remembers him?

Image
Folded from a 20cm square of duo-kraft paper.

Hint 1: Computer game character.
Hint 2: I'm working on his evil counterpart.

Solution: This character from this game.

I still come back to this game every once in a while...
And this time I thought it would be quite easy to design him.

I've actually managed to find easy enough references for the main creases.
Shaping the body is of course arbitrary and can be changed to one's liking.

The method for the colour-changes was adapted from the method Marc Kirschenbaum uses for the tail of his racoon, a very clever method indeed.
So long and keep folding ^_^

great flower tesselated, amazing. Nice Smilodon also. The great game DOT!! is it 3D?

I just taped this video yesterday (is it fair calling it "taping" a video these days?) to show how to fold awesome Perry Bailey's Squirrel, my favourite origami figure by far. Hope you enjoy it.

Nope, unfortunately it is flat except for the "suction caps" (?) sticking out.
I've tried to make it 3D (which would theoretically be possible) but then the front wouldn't stay together and I didn't find a way to lock it properly. Using tissue foil might help but I haven't tried that yet.
Another problem with making it 3D would be that it would have holes instead of the yellow surfaces inside of the "suction caps" because this layer would be the back of the model.
So long and keep folding ^_^

Gold T-Rex and Cocker Spaniel by Satoshi Kamiya, folded from a 15 cm square of gold Japanese foil. Giraffe by Komatsu, from an 8 1/2 inch square of printer paper.

And here's my latest creation, super simple 4-fold pureland B-2 Bombers:
