25cm (10") Japanese foil paper is pretty commonly available. You can find it in OUSA's online store.JeossMayhem wrote:Folded out of a piece of Japanese foil. I love this stuff but I haven't found any size bigger than 15cm... There's actually individual plates on the margin that are 1x2 but I took photos from a bad angle so they just look like creases. It happens when the thing you're trying to photograph is only 5cm long...
What have you folded lately?

Yea I looked at those but I didn't see 10 inch Japanese foil, just American. Even stores in Tokyo didn't seem to carry larger sizes of foil, though I got some kami over a meter to a side.

Final foldings of my Plain Horse
Tail is now also colour-changed.
Folded from 35cm uncut square of a duo paper that I found last year at OrigamiHouse and totally forgot about until I cleaned out my closet a few days ago!

Holy man! Thats huge kami! I'd love to get my hands on some of that, but I don't think I'm going to be going to tokyo in the near futureJeossMayhem wrote:Yea I looked at those but I didn't see 10 inch Japanese foil, just American. It was at my favorite wholesale origami paper store in Tokyo. It was a sheet that wasn't yet cut into smaller squares. I got it discounted as well

Wow-I've never seen kami anywhere near that size! But look here. The Source has 10" Japanese foil; I know-I ordered some.JeossMayhem wrote:Yea I looked at those but I didn't see 10 inch Japanese foil, just American. Edit-dang, the link doesn't go all the way-search Japanese foil and there are 2", 6", and 10" squares.
