I just folded my new favourite model *g*
Give it a try! Easy to fold and you can give it a nice 3-dimensinal shape even when folded dry!

Sorry about the quality. It is a tessellation of 90 degree angles. I think there are 144 90 degree angles on the one square of paper. It took me hours to complete the precreasing and more hours to complete the model afterwards.

i got works of satoshi kamiya last thursday and so far i have folded the pegasus the tyranosuarus the inoshishigami the ceolophysis the unicorn the kirin and the mammoth.
the kirin is my favorite

West pond turtle by Master Lang. (Origami Design Secrets)

A really pain in the a$$ the prefolding to make the pleats in the shell, but it's really cut and impressive.

These are pics form my first try

May I suggest, if you try to fold this turtle don't go purist, it's better to use a ruller and a pencil in stead of folding to get the creases needed to make the pleats. If you are not careful, you will end in a mess and you will have to many creases in the pleats of the shell. (This last fact is described by Lang before you start folding the black forest coo coo clock)
