Nice Shibaraku-that looks really hard to shape!

That shot of the ancient dragon makes it look like a statue on a pedestal.

The dragon is really not that big. It is sitting on a downside up flower pot saucer.
Shot the photo from close range.
I used a 25 inch square.

American Alligator designed by Michael G. LaFosse From Origami Art

Image

This is a very ROUGH fold .... At first I thought that I folded 64*64 with the paper cause result was different from Michael's (and I lost count during the process XD).

However, after a bit calculation & check the book again, I think 128*128 was what I folded, and the division of the author's was probably higher.

Few mistakes was made while folding this alligator, for example, first trial my alligator's scale was growing from tail to head (it's supposed to grow from head to tail), after undo the whole model, the paper started to wrinkle, that's when I lost my motivation to shape the details.

I'm planning on fold it again, and next time try to come up with the details.

Yes, all those little alligator scales look like they take forever.

Tessellations are designed and folded by me from one uncut sheet. The Wreaths are rings designed by Mette Peterson.

And Serova - that crayfish is the best rendition I've seen: Besides Sipho's!
