The left side shows the main Creases and Reference Points while the right side shows the full CP. So first of, you fold the Creases shown on the left on both sides of the paper (symmetrically) than you sink everything in and out a few times as shown on the right side.
You will see this kind of symmetrically splitted CP very often as it shows you with one drawing the main References as well as some more detailed folds. Always keep in mind that CPs most often only lead you to a flat foldable base where all the details have to be filled in by yourself.

Thanks! It makes a lot more sense now. :D
I'm pretty sure there is more to life than folding origami, and I plan on finding out what that is if I grow up.

Sorry that this is a bit off topic, but I was looking at the rest of Lang's cps, and I fell in love with his flying katydid, but when I printed off the cp, I found out that it had different colored lines. Could someone look at the cp and tell me which color means mountain fold, and what means valley fold? Thanks!!

The green lines are mountain folds, the dashed, orange lines are valley folds, and the red lines are diagonal and angled (they alternate between mountains and/or valley folds). Hope that helped!

P.S. This post was made using a Wii!

Hi! It's been a long while since I've been active on here. I deleted my Dropbox years ago, so some things, like my Dragonfly Varileg guide, are lost to time. I may still have other things, though! Email me if you have any questions.

Thanks! That does help! for a second I thought that the green was mountain and the orange was valley, but when I saw the red, I didn't know and it was really really confusing. That's cool that you did that from the wii! Just wondering, hows the guide going? Thanks again!!!

I haven't gotten to it yet, due to school work, and such, but I hope to work on it tomorrow.

It gets annoying typing on a Wii. :)

Oh, okay! No rush, so take as long as you need! I agree, it is annoying to type with that wii keyboard, cuz it never goes fast...

I have started work on the photodiagrams. There will be many pictures, so I am doing it in installments.
