Stevieboy, please always note the authors who's models you are folding. This is first respectful to those who offered you the diagrams and second interesting for those to know who would like to fold these models as well, or just like them and want to comment on your folds.

No Wish it was!! It is Mariposa butterfly, Book Papiroinsectos, Model by Manuel Sirgo Alvarez.

Id love to make Peter Engel's butterfly but I dont have the diagrams.

I love the butterflys from all over but i like the ones that have got legs rather than the ones that just seen to concentrate on the wings etc So if anyone knows of any good books or diagrams for some other cool ones please let me know.

Diagrams are in Origami from angelfish to Zen. It is a great book with lots of cool diagrams. I got it from amazon, and it is great.

The Engel Butterfly, & Langs in Origami Zoo share the same structure but are finished differently. Lang discusses it in the foreword and juxtaposes the CP's for comparison.

Nice job though, both the Fly & Butterfly in Origami Zoo are badly diagrammed & thus difficult to complete at all, let alone satisfactorily.

Yeah, I was going to say that the are based on the same cp. Keep folding the insects Stevieboy1, they're great. (but try taking better pictures)

On Sunday we had a little Origami meeting where we folded lots of simple flowers. The blossoms are made from 7,5cm iridescent paper while the stems are made from 15cm kami.

Here are some random folds I did today:

Stiefel by L. Holstein (diagrams here) from 4,5x9cm paper, a very elegant model.

Baby by Kunihiko Kasahara from 7,5cm kami. The picture is a bit blurry but I liked it the most of all the ones I did even though there have been sharper ones.

Sunflowers by Saburo Kase from two layers of tissue paper glued together lightly with spray adhesive from approximately 25cm paper. I changed the folding sequence a little bit so I could use double coloured paper instead of glueing a smaller square in the middle of the paper.

Relaxed man on shoey island or the fortunate suitor...
I had this very thick handmade paper that doesn't hold a fold and had the stupid idea that it could maybe help to make it more shapeable when glueing it to a sheet of aluminium foil. Then I thought this would be the perfect paper to fold Jeremy Shafer's unfortunate suitor. Well it was hell to fold and on the last step I gave up, the small man just did not want to go down under the shoe. So I decided if he liked it so much to stay on the top he should have his will. Somehow I'm very happy how the model turned out in the end, the little guy looks so relaxed and happy, I guess he really is

Electra by David Mitchell from 30 sheets of very cheap 7,5cm paper.

Yeah There were a few confusing and not so well explained bits on them but with a little persistance I managed to get though them ok.

I have to keep hidding the fly as my kids keep trying to claim it haha.
