Buttterflies
Six photos of the same butterfly folded from clear cellophane -
Double blintzed bird base - spread and squashed
Rotated between polarized filters

I have also folded a butterfly. I glued a piece of Bananapaper with MC to Silk. Size from which I started was 17cmx17cm.
Modell is diagrammed in Advanced Origami by Michael G. LaFosse

Nice selection.

The Stiefel also looks like a traditional napkin fold, the pixies boot.

The author of the Elektra is David Lister, the diagrams appear in a Paul Jackson book I have somewhere. I find a small (8cm x 8cm finished model) version of this always wows people far more than any Super complex single sheet models.

Haven't designed anything in awhile, so yesterday, I thought I'd warm up with a redesign of a subject I've tried before. It's a robot from the anime Evangelion, Unit 01. I think I am sufficiently warm for this weekend's challenge...

Smilodon (Satoshi Kamiya)

Folded from Kraft paper, which subsequently was wetfolded into submission.

Silverfish (Robert J. Lang)

Folded from tissue foil. This was the first bug that I ever folded out of tissue-foil.

Chocobo (Satoshi Kamiya)

Also folded out of tissue foil.

Snail on a Leaf (Nicholas Terry)

This was that first model I ever folded out of tissue foil. I folded it back at Christmas-time, upon recieving Nicholas' book (Passion Origami).

Ancient Dragon (Satoshi Kamiya, obviously)

Folded from red tissue foil. This took forever to fold!

Lion (Nicholas Terry)

Folded from tissue foil. I folded this for my Dad, because his zodiac sign is Leo.

I have folded Forcher's Fox, but with modifications suggested by Joseph Wu to adjust the colour change.

and also Katsuta Kyohei's owl from cp.

Both modles folded from mulberry paper.

I sat down and went through all of the January pages of Easy Origami 2009 Fold-a-Day Calendar by Jeff Cole and folded the things I liked the look of.

So, from left to right here we have:
January 26: Baby Penguin submitted by Sarah Beth Brown. I folded this out of two sheets of paper back to back to give the dual colour look.
January 20: Talking Dog submitted by Kathryn Lundgren, 9
My own variation on January 21: Traditional Turtle. The one in the calendar requires cutting, but I changed the design a bit to make it work without cutting.
January 12: Curvy Birdie by J. Cole
January 15: Mouse submitted by Maya Buckley, 7
January 8: Boy Scout Canoe by J. Cole
January 22: Box submitted by Mike Bright
January 28: Vanilla Cone. Again I used the double paper trick for the colour change. I guess mine is strawberry rather than vanilla.

A set of three cross-eye stereo photos. You can view them in 3D by crossing your eyes.
First is a general view of all the models.
Next is a close-up on the penguin because I really like the design.
Third is from above to better show the ice-cream and turtle models.
