Hi.
I´ve never folded any kind of tesselation, but as I am highly interested in geometrical figures (love modular origami) I´d like to start folding some.
Does anyone know of any diagram for a simple tesselation ? I´ve seen some CPs around, I wonder if there are any diagrams anywhere.
Master Brimstone ?

Neither have I, but I've seen some step by step instructions on how to fold Fujimoto's tessellations at Ravi Apte's gallery.esato wrote:I´ve never folded any kind of tesselation
I guess they're nice ones to start with.
Greg, Grzegorz actually, but try to pronounce it
Eric Gjerde has a website on tessellation-
http://www.origamitessellations.com/
You can find in his links very interesting folds and also diagrams.Eric himself has nice diagrams .Alex Batemen has a good site .I also like twists and tessellation.

I think Fujimoto's tessellations are hurd to start with but you can never know until you try.
Good luck!

Helena Verrill had an excellent website with tessellations, but unfortunately it expired.
You can still find it on archive.org, though.
E.g.
Square twist instructions
Main page
The images in the above links are very slow to load, but they did appear for me eventually.

Thanks for the replies.
I managed to fold the waterbomb base tesselation which mleonard posted on this topic http://snkhan.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.ph ... =waterbomb
It got me started, now I'll try more advanced stuff

Hi, Gila. I loved your gallery, your articles and your website in general. I learned how to make tissue foil from your article (it´s so well written and funny, made me laugh a few times). I have made some but I haven´t got the courage to fold anything with it now. It costs so much and is such a hassle to make it that I´ll save it for something really special.gila o wrote:Eric Gjerde has a website on tessellation-

By the way, I loved the symetric kawasaki field (http://www.origamitips.com/view.php?id=169). Where did you got the diagram for it?
