The text instructions along with the diagram in my post are an older version. I will soon make some finishing touches and post the new one along with new text instructions, properly aligned with the new diagram. Maybe I will add some text to the diagram itself, I didn't decide yet.

Yes. Do that. Robert Lang said that his biggest regret/biggest thing he learned from his first book, The Complete Book of Origami was that putting the verbal instructions separate from the diagrams was a BAD IDEA. It is extremely inconvenient and distracting to have to look away from the pictures and find the verbal instructions.SilverRazor wrote:Maybe I will add some text to the diagram itself, I didn't decide yet.
I would suggest to you the idea that you don't need verbal instructions, good diagrams show everything you need (except for a few things, like closed vs. open vs. hybrid sinks. Symbols just aren't enough). But since you are trying to make a diagram for beginners, verbal instructions are helpful.

I agree - good diagram needs some text very rarely but for beginner is important almost everything, for example so easy thing as "unfold". It is very helpful to write there "just unfold" or something similar.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking about - short guides, not whole articles for each step ^_^

This is the latest version. Any remarks? I will still post the full text instructions along with the diagram just in case.

Oh right, sorry about that, I always get those mixed up. Shouldn't post when I'm tired The definition I posted is the first one I learnt, but not sure from where any more.
But if you go by the arrows drawn in the diagram they are pleats by this definition as well. And for a crimp the valley/mountain lines have to be exchanged. But then the finished pic 13 is wrong when using the valley/mountain as shown...

So long and keep folding ^_^
