Steller's Sea Eagle
From a single uncut square.
I made changes to the leg feathers, talons, wing feathers and beak compared to the first version.
I had trouble obtaining a bright white when usinc MC to prepare the paper. Eventually, I used unryu-kitchen foil-unryu, and was surprised that it folded quite well.

Well, I created:
Hare Sniffing the Air

From a square with two colored sides.
I had to try about four different proportions to reach this balance.
My initial intention was to fold something that could remember Hsi Hua Liu style. I didn't use any usual foldind sequence.
It took me about 2 weeks to "realize" the folds at the dorsal portion.
Goliath Beetle

Legs are still too short...
This is my second insect design. It's a lot better than my previous one, but it's simple to do. I got a square and did an axis whose height is 2/27 of the diagonal width. So I did a blintz bird base, folded some details for the head and shell.
Elasmosaurus

There isn't much origami about Elasmossaurus. I saw Montroll's one, but it looked to me like a Diplodocus... Llanque's is very beautiful too...
Elasmos = thin plate (from greek). It wasn't a dinossaur like others, it was more "a water reptile". Also, it lived in the Late Cretaceous (after most dinossaurs).
So I designed this one based on this pic:
http://www.plesiosauria.com/elasmosaurus.jpg
It begins from a modified bird base (the center is at 1/4,1/4). The neck is done using some kind of hexpleating, I think. It has a lot of scales that can be used to hide pleats needed to curve the neck. Legs (or would they be flippers?) are boxpleated.

Hi! It's been a long while since I've been active on here. I deleted my Dropbox years ago, so some things, like my Dragonfly Varileg guide, are lost to time. I may still have other things, though! Email me if you have any questions.
