Looks like yours turned out the way that my first one did: with the legs all spread out!
Nicely done though, Kareshi! :)
My Flickr

Hi! It's been a long while since I've been active on here. I deleted my Dropbox years ago, so some things, like my Dragonfly Varileg guide, are lost to time. I may still have other things, though! Email me if you have any questions.

Well done on the Ancient Dragon. It's huge! How big was the paper you started with?

48" (120 cm)
All the precreasing had to be done on the floor because it was larger than my table.

Nice job on the dragon. It's the biggest one I've seen.
Here is the link to mine.
It looks really big in the picture but I used a square only about
half as big as yours.

I folded Petr Stuchly's Octopus from CP:

I didn't fold the eyes though since they were a bit troublesome and I was happy enough with eyes made just from indents.

Exploding Target for Pinball Game

Post by firstfold »

Exploding Target for Pinball Game

I've added one exploding target to my origami pinball game.

Here is a closeup of the target:
Image

If you have already seen the video of the pinball game skip ahead to the 1 minute mark to see the target explode (more of a swish than a bang). Make sure to view all the way to the end! My main purpose was to test the release mechanism. I'm working on some flashier displays and will probably end up with three targets each with a different display but a similar release mechanisms.

Here is the video:

This is my "Slip and Stick" construction folded from rectangles of cardstock - NO adhesives are used and once a rectangle is made to size there is no cutting.
