Not nearly as nice as Sunbursts but a good first attempt at his CP published in the Christmas Origami Book 2008.

Yay! First time I ever see someone attempt one of my models. And it looks very good, too. Plus, you managed to shape her using a square half as small as I did

So many updates in one night!!!!!
GJYOKYZ, nice rendition of Quentin's piece. The paper has a nice shine on it, I really like it. Also, the folds are tidy and sharp and the shaping gives the piece depth.
Nice Kiwi, FlareglooM, that sometimes happens to my paper too! Also, you could also use less revealing paper, the tiny crumples really stand out in your piece.
Anna, the Naga is cool! Though the tissue foil is slichtly crumpled, it is still beuatiful. Also, did Sunburst do the hair as you did? I really like it. Naga with ponytails

Well, it had five fingers, but I decided to use one to get nicer arms.
I still wonder how Sunburst got those beautiful breasts on his Naga, they are perfect.

Never heard of Hoopoe before, but fortunately there is always Wikipedia

Spray paint sounds very interesting, does it effect on the folding a lot?

I folded Shuzo Fujimoto's Clover Folding - the first time I've attempted more than 3 stages. A bit of a jump to 7 stages, but I like it. It took me several hours, I fear...

Lots of nice stuff over the weekend from everyone.
Good to see Dr. Lang's old tarantula getting a dust off - I wish more people folded unsusal/neglected diagrammed models.

There is also a hoopoe in John Montrolls' "African Animals in Origami" - I'd never heard of it before seeing that one.
ahudson's is very nice, though honestly I'm more interested in that bulging bookcase of origami delights - and I suspect that is only a fraction of the collection!

One day my collection will look so healthy...

Good job, tanvuong85, the school girl is expressive, and the choice of paper makes it look abstract and realistic. I like how you did the dress and hair.
Wow, Sara, this is crazy! This infinite folding is really interesting! It really looks like anermak's pyramid (at least part of it).
ahudson, I drool at your origami book collection. Many if those books, I have never seen before. Anyway, your hoppoe is a really interesting design. I suppose you designed it to be abstract, right. Anyway, I like the color changes you use- though you could clor change the eye too.
