Satoshi Kamiya - Hercules Beetle

Post by zero-xz »

Hi, I'm trying to make the Hercules Beetle from Satoshi Kamiya's book, but i got stuck in steps 31/32 on page 40 (im a noob at this lol), i can't seem to figure out how to sink fold that step and it's really driving me crazy, i've tried it in pretty much every way i could think about... some1 please me help with this. I searched this whole forum and others a well for reference as to how to fold this step and i found nothing, probably because not many people have problems with this step :P

Well i just recently folded this model so ill try to help. Well step 31 is basically an open sink on both sides. The diagram of step 31 shows the mountain and valley distinction so if your folds follow that it, it should collapse nicely. Step 32 is the progression of step 31. Look at step 33 as a reference to how it should look after its collapsed. Hope that helps...

I would try to quickly fold this model again and take pictures of the step, but i have too many unfinshed models that i need to complete :P (i always stop halfway because i find an interest in a new model, so im gonna take the time to finish the other models now.)
