This morning I folded Anibal Voyers Witch, and I'm very happy with it.
That will be my last post for the foreseeable future (you'll be delighted to hear), as the company just went in to receivership and is laying everyone off as of 15:00 (about an hour)
To everyone who contributes to this forum and keeps it running as such a cosmopolitan, friendly, helpful and valuable resource - may you go from strength to strength.
I have spent many happy lunch hours here.
Sincerely, thank you.

Sorry to hear about the receivership InsomniacFolder; the economy really is in a bad way at the moment. I'm sure things will work out ok for you in the near future. Bet you're not away from the forum for too long either!

Froy... very impressive folding of the mantis, and the swan is stunning. Great work.
Cephalopod... really like the rabbit. Love the animated posture.

INTRODUCING:
(Drum Roll - please)
Firstfold's Flippy-Face Polyhedra
These techniques were inspired by the following works of John Montroll
"A Plethora of Polyhedra in Origami", 2002
"Origami Inside-Out"., 1993
This is my humble attempt to extend his techniques to a new type of Geometric Origami.
Flippy-Face Polyhedra have the following characteristics
1. Each is folded from a single square sheet of paper
2. Each looks like a polyhedron (a solid bounded by polygons)
3. You can flip the color of one or more faces with a hinged flap in one movement
4. After each flip the beginning shape is maintained
5. Each flip is reversible.
6. The ultimate and sometimes unachievable goal is to be able to flip all faces.
Here are my first two attempts at this concept -

1. A cube with 5 of 6 faces capable of being flipped (all except the face that touches the surface)
2. A triangular Dipyramid (all six faces can be flipped in three movements)
Your challenge is to create a new "Flippy-Face Polyhedra"
Can you make a cube with 6 flippy faces ??????
