I have been folding for a number of years and have managed to overcome many complex models. However, I have always found Lang's insects difficult due to the paper becoming too thick. Can anyone here please tell me the ideal size/type of paper for making insects?

The bigger, the better. :)

I would start with paper around 50cm x 50cm, double tissue or something like that.
If you don't have big enough paper, you can always tape 4 papers together.

that really depend on the insect but I would always prefer foiled paper. the size of the paper depends on the complexity of the model. some easier insects could be folded from 15cm squares other need much bigger sheets.

Thanks for both replies. I am not stranger or newcomer to paper-folding, however, I am going to search for paper within those specifications, thank you. :D

I've done this scorpion using a 35 per 35 cm of 28 gr/m2 paper kratf.
It can be found on Nicolas Terry online store.
