madarko wrote:i made a new dragon by 'borrowing' the head from the KNL Dragon from Origami Design Secrets and applying it to my old dragon (heavily modified from a dragon i found on a youtube video many many moons ago). Anyway, I havn't seen any other origami dragons in this kinda shape, so i fugured i'd share it with y'all.

the old one:
I have to agree with Anna, I *love* your old dragon. It looks a bit like a flying squirrel dinosaur - if that makes any sense. Very cute, and full of character!

I folded the chessboard by John Montroll.
I used a single sheet of 10 inch kami. No cuts.

The hat looks stupid, I don't know how to do it.
But I think I still managed managed to do it quite nicely.

My tanteidan magazines came today! Heres the first thing I made from them:
Kawahata Fumiaki's Lion:

Folded from 30cm tant. It got really thick in the front legs, so I had to hold them to keep them from splaying.

yeah, tant gets thick pretty quick. I wish they made a paper with the same quality of fiber and texture... but just perhaps half the gsm.

Zoraz, the lion is awesome!!! The mane is pretty well handled!!!
darkeagle, good job with Joisel's dwarf- I like the oldie expression you gave it!!!
topsu, this is already very good!!! You should give yourself a pat on the back!!!
EZOrigami, the terrier is great!!! I like the abstractness in it!!!
