Have you collapsed the base yet? All the flaps come from under the abdomen once its collapsed. The head flap is one of the longer ones, and swings back and forth between between the two ends of the abdomen.

this is the way I've been doing it...

The something in the lower right is just that, something. Haven't figured out what it is yet. I usually just end up shoving it into the abdomen.

I fold the thorax from the flap that forms from the paper between the abdomen and the head.

I'll have to try the other way, but wouldn't that end up with the smaller wing being in front of the larger wing(which is backwards, I think)?

When I folded it, i wanted the wings to look like they came from the top of the body, but now that I look at it again, I think you are right. The way I did it, I had to force the small wing behind the big one, and I had to reverse all the pleats in the abdomen.

if you look at the picture on his website, the wings come out from the bottom of the body. That's probably the only thing I don't like about this model...

but it looks like he fixed that in 2.6.

Thx. I finally managed to finish. With some low quality results (lol). I'm gonna try and make another.

once you figure out how everything is supposed to go, it's actually a pretty fun model to collapse!

I changed the crease pattern a little bit and managed to fix the wing problem.

I collapsed the abdomen first, then worked my way out to the edges.

Yeah, I start with the head and abdomen and go out from that.

is there a mistake on it at the bottom right. on the third line to the right on the way bottom (where the two thick lines make a "V"), there is alternating thick and thin lines. Are they the wrong order?
