To ahudson:
While I realize that your " rectangular twist tessalation" has, as it's prominent superimposed image, a hooked cross symbol of good luck/religious significance to many, I would be surprised if you did not also know that it is a symbol of controversy to a great many as well.
Obviously, commonly known as a swastika ...

I agree that Artur's "common" loon is absolutely fabulous.

Never seen a swastika that hooked both ways at once.
Re: What have you folded lately?
I agree. I don't think it resembles a swastika in the slightest...
Re: What have you folded lately?
Well, just to make it clear, any resemblance to a swastika was entirely unintended.gordigami wrote:To ahudson:

Thanks for your kind words Whitefly. I'm a radio amateur and my call sign is Golf Juliet Zero Kilo Yankee Zulu (hence "GJ0KYZ"). "73" is an abbreviation in Morse Code for "best wishes". I wonder if any other reader of this forum is a radio ham.Whitefly wrote:Hi Jokiz
Nice fold Lang's tarantula (one of my favourite models) congrats!
I have a question about your signature: why 73? Are you a O.M.?
Bye

Yesterday I designed and today folded an ostrich, which I wanted to look like Emu, but i am quite satisfied with the result, considering that the paper i used is not perfect. I'll refold it again in the next days.
Hmm at least it's recognizable. ^^
ps. i like how the crest turned out : ).
