Nice bear.

I have folded "Kissing Lips" by Soon Young Lee, and the Treehopper by Robert Lang.

Hi! It's been a long while since I've been active on here. I deleted my Dropbox years ago, so some things, like my Dragonfly Varileg guide, are lost to time. I may still have other things, though! Email me if you have any questions.

@ dreamer - if your camera has a "macro" mode, switch it on. If it hasn't, shoot from a greater distance.

My fold of Peter Engel's scorpion - one time using the camera's "macro" mode, one time using normal autofocus without macro.

The 2nd picture is kinda useless, isn't it ...

And The Strategist by Tran Trung Hieu.

I'll never fold the bright red shiny side out again, after 25 or so pictures, this was the only decent one. I even touched it up a little, and it still doesn't look great.

Didée, what kind of paper did you use for the scorpion? The little gold sparkles have they been on the paper or did you airbrush them or something?

Anna - the paper originally was plain black. I used a single layer of standard 20g tissue paper, waterfast quality, 30x30cm square. While MC'ing the sheet, I mixed two or three small drops of acrylic paint (gold/sparkley) into the MC, that's all. With a few different color tubes in the shelf, I find this a quick'n easy way to give a bit of individuality to unicolored tissue paper.

For gold sparkles, I have heard, and also read in Advanced Origami (LaFosse) that mica works well. I have never tried this in MC before, so I don't really know what will happen. It does, however, work well in handmade paper.
