@Adam:
Yes the talk about the cat in the chat was the reason I folded it. I did not use Jared's CP. The CP for this one looks a little bit different than Jared's version, the main difference is that my version has a bigger head. Actually I had the cat done before Jared posted his CPs, but my Internet connection broke down for some hours, so I couldn't show it to all of you.
@Zoraz:
The paper you describe sounds different to the paper I used.
This paper I have is rather thick (90gsm) and cracks easily. I also don't feel that it shines so much, but that may depend on the lighting. It is produced by Ursus.

I think Ralf Konrad might have used the same stuff in his fold of a Star Puff:origami_8 wrote: This paper I have is rather thick (90gsm) and cracks easily. I also don't feel that it shines so much, but that may depend on the lighting. It is produced by Ursus.

It sounds similar to the stuff that I have (definitely not exactly the same, though). Ok if you only need to add few creases, breaks easily, quite thick, and not forgiving at all. Perfect for tessellations. :p
By the way, the paper I have seems to be a sandwich of foil, white paper, foil, so when it breaks you can see the white paper inbetween. Is that the case for yours, too?

Yeah, that's completely different from what I was thinking about. The stuff I have is about 60gsm (rough estimate), and doesn't hold creases well at all. It doesn't crack like you said

Hey guys,
I just started to fold a few weeks ago, with the help of a friend who lent me some of his books...
A couple of days ago I joined the forum and decided to post one of my "works".
I had a relly hard time trying to fold the hair, but i coudnt get it done!! So if any of you have a few tips for me, that would be great!!
Just one more thing, if any of you is from Brazil, send me a PM, so that we can get to exchange knowledge....
thank´s!

Oh yeah, I worked that out the other day... I first thought it was from a square. The yellow one is from a Post-it.
After Adam told me it was a dollar bill, I came up with the other one. (and no, that's not a real $100--that would be dumb)
Robert Neale's $ Bunny Bill and $ Fluttering Butterfly
