I've folded two more models from Origami Essence before leaving for the CDO Convention but wasn't able to post them until now:
Geometric Bird by Román Díaz folded from a 15 cm square of Duo-Colour-Kami
T-Rex by Joseph Wu & Román Díaz folded from an 18 cm square of Duo-Colour-Kami
For the CDO Convention Contest "Means of Transport" I had designed a Tricycle which I kept revising during the convention until this scooter came out as result (folded from a 32 cm square of tissue foil)
Here a picture of some of the steps to get from the Tricycle to the Scooter
Diagrams for the tricycle and possible for the scooter (if I find the time to adapt the diagrams) will appear in the Christmas Origami Book
This Veiltail Angelfish was folded from a 30cm square of Gampi during a class by Satoshi Kamiya at the convention
Andrea Michellini showed as a nice snake skin tessellation which I started folding from a 15cm square of Tant but was too lazy to finish and thus turned the rest of the paper into a boat instead
I like the effect of three-dimensionality while the model itself is actually quite flat
