InsaneOrigami is right, my crease pattern is actually based off of Kamiya's Samurai Helmet Beetle that got 3/4 of the way through before magically becoming too thick to form any details.

My parents think it's pretty cool, but after I take over the counter tops, they see it as clutter...
I have a funny(?) friend who will tear my model in the works if he doesn't like the subject. ( What'cha foldin? Just a DRAGON?!? I'm disappointed in you...)
I will NEVER tell anyone what I'm folding, which makes them very pissed! Or maybe I'm just free folding, so when I throw a really odd base into the recycle bin, they explode.
Right after I finish the model, I whip it into my pocket, never to be seen again by human eyes.... Which makes them even angrier!
To go along with the last one, I usually fold things with complex precreases. You should see their face when I unfold completely!!
( *folds* Are you almost done? *unfolds completely* Umm, No. Sorry. * jaw drop*)

christmas presents
This Christmas I folded 20 dollar bills as presents for my family. They were very amazed that you could get that kind of creation out of a dollar bill. This was one were youtube is key. lol

Nowadays my family is used to me folding my pieces and often citicize them. However, I find this criticism useful as it helps me improve my works.
Can't say the same about my classmates though.
(CM: What's this?
Me: Somesort of monster. You know, a kraken?
CM: What's a Kraken? Anyway, looks like a crumpled sheet of paper to me.
Me: Sigh...)
